Path of Exile is a free action RPG where you take on one of seven classes to venture into the world. At first, the game can seem very complex, as there is a lot to learn.

Check out our tips for beginners to get this game fast!

1. Choose your character well

In Path of Exile, you have seven different playable classes. It is important to choose your first character well, but it is not fatal if you do not choose the ideal one the first time.

In fact, in Path of Exile, you can create multiple characters at the same time and go trading. Also, the game is complex for beginners, so it's rare for you to be completely satisfied with your first character.

Check out the different Path of Exile classes:

Duelist: This is a melee class, which can summon a footman to fight at his side.

Templar: Specialist in throwing projectiles against enemies, including balls of electricity.

Witch: a witch with a lot of Intelligence.

Ranger: uses a bow during battles, but can also use swords. She is an extremely agile character.

Marauder: an extreme Force melee fighter.

Shadow: This fighter is agile and smart, using short range weapons and traps during battle.

Scion: This advanced character can be released later in the game and merge with its original class.

2. Start by choosing a pre-made build

Most players prefer to create unique characters with manually built builds. However, there is an associated risk if you are not sure what you are doing.

The problem is the limited number of points that allow you to change your skills tree. This makes it impossible for you to completely fix your build. Start by taking a look at pre-made builds, focusing only on improving your character in the game.

3. Choose your league well

Leagues are variations that affect the game itself. There are several types and some may not always be available. You can play the pre-defined version of the game, called the Standard League, or you can focus on other versions with different difficulties or challenges.

Standard: This is the basic mode of the game, without any modification.

Hardcore: all different variants of the game can be played in Hardcore, which consists of completing the game without dying. If you die, your character is disqualified and transferred to the Standard League.

Challenges: These Leagues offer special rewards when completing specific challenges. Normally, each one is available for three months.

Solo: This League blocks the game for only one player, preventing you from entering groups with other players or trading.

4. Take advantage of the available gems

In Path of Exile, you usually have to equip gems to gain new skills. Any class is enabled, but the gems themselves have specific requirements related to attributes and level. In addition, the gems can only be fitted in fittings of the same color.

Remember that the gems equipped also rise level as you gain experience. Although your character receives a gain experience penalty when revisiting low-level areas, this does not apply to gems. That is, you can change your gems and return to these areas to improve them quickly.

There are two types of gems:

Skill Gem: adds attack, spells, projectiles, traps or mines.

Support Gem: modifies some abilities when equipped in a connection socket. It needs to be compatible with the gem to which it is connected to activate its effect.

5. Do not ignore attribute regeneration

Typically, characters do not regenerate life, only a little mana per second. However, you can replenish your life and mana manually by using the appropriate type of potion. These bottles recharge whenever you visit a village or hideout, or kill enemies.

You must equip armor and passive skills that increase automatic regeneration of life and mana. Thus, you will keep these attributes on a comfortable level whenever you venture out.

6. Do not take all the items you see

All the items you pick up during your adventures will take up space in your inventory. To load as many things at once, you need to readjust that space by changing the location pieces in your bag. However, most of the time you will be left with the full inventory quickly.

The ideal is to ignore items that your character can not use or that are of low value. That is, you can safely ignore all the white items you find unless you are heading towards the village and still have plenty of free space in your bag.

The rarer items are usually the most valuable and the ones worth selling. Also, do not miss out on any piece of equipment or weapon better than what you currently have. The rarity of the items is indicated by their color:

White: normal

Blue: magical

Yellow: rare

Orange: unique

7. Accumulate Orbs

In Path of Exile there is no gold. Instead, the currency used by the players is the orbs. There is an economic system that will determine the value and inflation of each type of existing orb.

But each of them also has a function as well as being used in shopping. In general, the most important rule to follow is not to use them while you are leveling up.

8. Cooperative Adventure

Path of Exile is a game that can be played alone, but you can also take advantage of the cooperation with the remaining community by joining a guild. The main function of the guilds is to join players to venture into maps and share items.

You can also play occasionally in public groups, looking for other players in the city.
